Located in Jacqueville, aprox. 40 km from Abidjan, the economic capital and main city of Ivory Coast, this is the largest project of its kind in the country, as well as in West Africa.
The ATINKOU power plant will produce 2,875 GWh annually, supplying energy to approximately one million households and creating 2,500 jobs during construction and operation.
The gas turbine technology is SIEMENS SGT5-4000F. The plant will also have a recovery boiler, cooling tower, water intake and SIEMENS SST-3000 steam turbine.
The plant will be connected to the new 400 kV substation and electricity transmission network. This is the first network in Ivory Coast designed to reduce energy transmission losses.
With this contract, Goizea reinforces its presence in the country, after having supplied to the Azito Combined Cycle Power Plant. Thus, Goizea is already present in several countries on the African continent, both in thermosolar plants in countries such as Morocco or South Africa, as well as in combined cycle plants in Egypt, Algeria, etc.
