Goizea gains once again Sener's confidence to supply all the required pipe supports for the third phase of Noor project in the Moroccan town of Ouarzazate.
In this new contract, SENER will carry out the engineering, construction and commissioning of Noor 3 solar thermal power plant of 150MW, with central heliostats tower technology.
It consists of a central tower plant with salt receiver technology designed by SENER, which is a natural evolution of the Gemasolar Project (Sevilla), also built by SENER. Both of them incorporate a molten salt storage system allowing them to generate electricity in the absence of solar radiation.
Noor 3 will include some further developments, such as a bigger heliostat , designed and manufactured by SENER. The project should be completed by 2018.
After the successful delivery of pipe supports for the first phase of the project (Noor1), Goizea strengthens its position in the Moroccan market with this new challenge, as the technical complexity of the supports for a tower technology plant requires great experience in the market.
